Endowment Funds

Named endowment funds are established by contributing $10,000 or more in the name of the donor or in another individual’s name. These endowments support MTNA programs, grants and awards. Contributors to MTNA may direct their donation to a specific endowment, thus increasing its value and earning power. There are 32 named endowment funds. Several of these funds are directed to the support of the teacher enrichment grant program, while others provide funds for local association grants, competition awards and other MTNA programs.

Each year new endowment honorees are recognized with a plaque presented at the MTNA National Conference. They are also prominently recognized in American Music Teacher magazine. Honorees whose funds support teacher enrichment grants are notified each year of the award recipient, and those individuals who establish and completely fund a named endowment will become a member of the MTNA Legacy Society.

Donors may also direct their gifts to the general endowment fund, which supports ongoing operations of the MTNA Foundation Fund and programs of MTNA.

For information about establishing an endowment fund, please contact the MTNA Foundation Fund at (888) 512-5278 or mtnafoundation@mtna.org.
